Tech Mission

The Technology and Equipment committee was established in 2024 as a subcommittee of APICOM. It consists of representatives from spill response organizations across North America. The Technology and Equipment committee is a collaborative initiative dedicated to advancing oil spill response capabilities through the evaluation and implementation of innovative technologies, equipment, and best practices. By fostering knowledge-sharing and cooperation among industry professionals, we aim to enhance preparedness, efficiency, and environmental stewardship in oil spill response operations.

Objectives

• Establish a professional network of Technology and Equipment personnel
• Maintain lines of communication between members of the committee
• Share information and resources between committee members to include:
1. best practices and lessons learned from responses and exercises
2. innovations in oil spill technology
3. innovations in computerized technology
